Office Refurbishment When refurbishing a 1970s office block, the UK subsidiary of the world’s largest food, confectionery and beverage group asked Andrews to install fixed air conditioning, with external banks and 34 indoor units. Delivering the latest standards in comfort is vital so the company can attract and retain staff. This space-saving solution ensured a comfortable and easily controlled environment for finance and HR. Exceptionally quiet, it helps deal with a high solar gain as the sun moves from one side of the glazed building to the other. Advertising Agency An advertising and media agency needed reliable air conditioning for its new London facilities. A split system installed by Andrews was the solution. This extremely quiet system provided enhanced performance, energy efficient running plus ease of access for installation and maintenance: the unit’s final position was adjusted during installation after a suspended ceiling was put in place, without disturbing any tiles. These units meant the customer qualified for tax breaks under the government's Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme. Kent Property Company When a Kent property company built a new three-storey office, air conditioning was essential: this was an opportunity to install energy-efficient heat-pump based heating and cooling, so staff and clients could be comfortable all-year round, and address the high solar gain the building experienced. Andrews installed just three inverter-controlled split-type systems, with six high-wall indoor units, for the entire 1,550ft2 office space. The result: a compact, energy efficient and super-quiet system. London Air Frieght A busy air freight agency in London needed reliable comfort cooling in its refurbished administration offices and boardroom, in a former industrial-style building. Andrews recommended and installed a flexible heat pump cassette plus ceiling and wall-mounted packaged air conditioning units, with all condensers sited on an external flat roof. With installation carried out during normal office hours, disruption was minimised and the client was delighted with the result. Direct Mail A major direct mail company, with offices at a light industrial unit in Leeds, wanted comfort cooling to provide a more comfortable and productive environment for busy staff. We installed a range of ceiling suspended, ceiling cassette, wall mounted and ducted air conditioning units in various offices. Condensers were located in a secure purpose-built compound outside. Weekend installation meant no disruption to workers, while the resulting systems delivered the reliability and cost-effective cooling the client required. Funeral Service A large funeral services provider in Manchester required flexible cooling and heating for a number of small offices, to ensure staff could work productively. The former industrial-style building had few windows and limited natural ventilation, causing temperature control and air quality issues. Our cost-effective solution was to install five heat pump units, removing these problems. We also provided a nationwide service to the companies multiple high street and local neighbourhood locations. |
