Plastic Injection Firm

A consumables business in Shropshire, producing high precision plastic injection mouldings, needed a solution to a heated issue. Manufacturing of products including gears for office printers requires moulding to 7 microns tolerance, which produces large volumes of heat: 78kW of cooling power was needed to improve the workplace. Our response was to recommend and install high performance close control units, incorporating temperature controlled fresh air systems. To improve conditions further we also provided a variable controlled extract system. The net result was a cooler, safer and more productive working environment.

A pharmaceutical company wanted reliable and energy efficient cooling for its mission-critical clinical laboratory site. We recommended and delivered multi and split systems, installing 18 ceiling cassettes and five ducted fan coils throughout the ground and first floors. To ensure complete temperature control and to avoid equipment failure in the data room, all units were heat pump based. For aesthetic reasons, the condensers were hidden in a purpose-built compound. The client was delighted: compared to a chilled water approach, the systems delivered far greater flexibility and energy efficiency, ensuring a highly cost-effective installation.

A process equipment manufacturer in Middlesex required wide-ranging comfort cooling. We suggested then installed 19 ceiling cassettes that provided the desired solution whilst minimising the space required, with condensers located on an outside wall. Installation was completed during normal working hours with no disruption to the company's day-to-day operations, with the client totally satisfied with the power, reliability and cost-effective running provided by its air conditioning.

A forklift truck manufacturer needed reliable air conditioning at two sites in the Midlands. In Leicester, we recommended then installed 14 ceiling cassettes including three flexible heat pump units, with condensers located in the warehouse. At Nottingham we installed 11 cassette and wall mounted units. Good planning and timing were crucial as we had to ensure installation coincided with refurbishment projects. Work was completed on time to the complete satisfaction of the company and its employees.
