Midlands Hospital

The pharmacy in a large Midlands hospital had problems: rising heat was causing drugs to start deteriorating. Due to the hospital set-up, Andrews faced various obstacles: for example, most walls were internal and they were all firewalls. Plans for an air conditioning system were approved, with a brief for engineers to arrive, install and disappear with the minimum disruption to staff and patients. The Chief Pharmacist commented, "Andrews Sykes performed very professionally and we've since recommended the company to other departments within the hospital." Further projects included a specialist body storage facility for the Mortuary.

Thames Valley Vets

When a chain of vets in the Thames Valley began refurbishing individual practices, comfort cooling was an essential business requirement given its focus on excellent client service. Andrews provided the solution: for instance, at a practice reception area in Berkshire a compact inverter-controlled spilt-system was installed quickly and cleanly. This slimline system, which offers heating as well as cooling, provides very quiet operations and was welcomed by staff and clients alike.

OGC

An OGC-approved supplier, Andrews provided a highly effective service when the NHS Connecting For Health main server room at Vantage House in Leeds needed additional cooling. With existing cooling systems failing to deliver the required temperature, we advised on replacing this equipment with a new fixed close control system that would deliver the required duty plus redundancy in case of a unit failing. The resulting solution was exceptionally effective, helping us further cement our relationship with and reputation at the NHS.
